World championnship 1974 series features

The World championship 1974 series, produced in June 1974, consists of 16 packs, of dimension 36 x 24 x 5.5 cm, with catalog numbers 017 and 020; the first containing the Italian national team and the second from time to time one of the other 15 teams participating in the Monaco '74 World championship.

It should be noted that packaging 017, containing the Italian national team, was marketed in two graphic versions; the first with the italian shield and the other with a tricolor circle.

Each packaging contains a playing rectangle (half of a football field), 14 figures (11 players, 1 coach, 1 masseur and 1 linesman), a goal, two corner flags, a bench, a scoring ruler and 2 soccer balls. which one hemispherical, one sliding (to join 2 game rectangles) and a sheet with assembly instructions and game rules;the playing rectangle always has blue borders while the figures differ in color according to the team contained.

In the first version of the 017 package we find both on the front of the packaging and on the left edge a tricolor shield while in the second version a tricolor circle between the front and the left edge of the packaging.

For both versions of the 017 package, the Atlantic logo and the words "Nazionale Italiana" are shown on the front of the packaging; on the upper and lower edges there is the wording "National Italian", on the right edge the catalog number while on the back the wording "Italia" the Atlantic logo and images of the content.

The front and back of the 020 package are identical except for the yellow band which is empty on the back while the flags of 8 nations participating in the world championship are shown on the front.

On the front and on the back there is the wording Mondiali as well as on the upper and lower edges; on the right edge there is the catalog number while on the left edge there are the flags of the other 8 nations participating in the world championship.

The 020 package can have a yellow band affixed to remember the sporting event or a sticker with the name of the nation contained.
