80 series features

The 80 series consists of 8 packs, 21.5 x 13.5 x 1.5 cm in size, containing subjects in H0 scale, with catalog numbers from 81 to 88.

Its production begins in May 1975 with the packaging n. 81 and ends in April 1977 with the start of production of packaging no. 88.

Note that the images of the 80 series packs are the same as those used for the 50 series, 90 series and 2020 series.

Another peculiarity is that the packs n. 82 and 87 contain the same toy soldiers but of different colors (green and blue fusion plastic respectively).

The Atlantic logo, the wording "Army-corps of the second world war" in four languages, the flag of the nation, the name and image of the subject are shown on the front of the packaging.

The Atlantic logo, the catalog number and the H0 scale are shown on the side edges, while the name of the subject is shown on the upper and lower edges.

On the back of the packs there are illustrations of the contents, some flags and historical notes relating to the contents of the pack in four languages.

The 80 series was initially produced in a first graphic format which did not bear the wording "made in Italy" on the back of the packaging, a wording added only later, effectively forming two different editions called "type A edition" and "type B edition".

Of the 80 series, 2 other editions were also produced for the foreign market:
one called "international edition" which on the back shows in addition to the wording "made in Italy" the addition of the wording "plastic non toxic" and the wording "conforms to international safety standards", in Italian and French, in 86 packs, 87 and 88, a second called "French edition", whose packaging intended for the French market bears a "wording" on the back in which the importer, Claudie Berthier Services of Lyon, guaranteed its conformity to the most rigorous standards beyond the Alps.
